Shiki Clock

Paper pulp wall and table clock

No matter what the rest of the world does, Japan will never stop using paper. And not just for writing either: the Japanese love finding new ways to use paper and the Shiki Clock is the proof: using a three-dimensional paper-molding technique called pulp molding (the one used for egg cartons, etc., but at a more advanced level of sophistication), Osaka-based Taisei Shiki has created a beautiful timepiece and household ornament that gives a special touch to your home. You won't believe this clock is made of just paper!

Measuring 25.3 x 15.6 x 3 cm (10 x 6.1 x 1.2"), the Shiki Clock can fit even in small places. Since it's made of paper, the clock is very light and suitable for hanging or placing anywhere you want. Thanks to its oblong shape and its use of dots instead of numbers, it can be positioned either vertically or horizontally, giving it more flexibility. Available in five colors (white, pink, green, yellow, and mixed, which is gray with multicolored pigments).
