There are dozens, perhaps hundreds of pottery and porcelain traditions in Japan, but when it comes to one that can be used for everyday life objects while still retaining a unique and truly Japanese style, the Arita style, developed in the area around the town with the same name, in the old Hizen Province on the island of Kyushu, remains the most popular. So it was this style that Kirin chose to create a unique piece of drinkware for those who want to enjoy their beer in a different way. And the result, the Kirin Arita Ware Premium Beer Cup is indeed quite special!
There are two types of the Kirin Arita Ware Premium Beer Cup: you can choose between a white version or a black version, the former featuring a blue rendering of Kirin's logo, the eponymous mythical beast known as a qilin in China, while the latter has a gold logo (this is for their outer side, since the inner side of both is white). The cups are 6.5 x 13 cm (2.6 x 5.1") and with a capacity of 350 ml (11.8 fl oz), so are perfect if you buy your beer in cans!
