Beware the seemingly simple design, Metaphys’s Celtis is addictive. This game, designed by celebrity Japanese industrial designer Chiaki Murata has earned a cult following as well as a Good Design Award.
Billed as an Othello for the 21st century, play uses reversible chips in eye-catching candy-colored blue and green placed on the hexagonal board—seven in a row of one color scores.
Celtis features:
• Size: W35 x D31 x H2cm
• Weight: 860g
• Includes: game board and 58 game pieces
• Instruction book: Japanese only
Rules
• Two players alternately place the pieces which are bent 120 degrees.
• The player who first positions 7 pieces in a row wins.
• Simple, right? LOL.
