Perhaps it's the gloomy expression in his portraits or the solemnity in his music. Whatever the reason, Beethoven seems like the perfect villain in Beethoven Strikes Back, a funny and unusual toy from Japan top toymaker MegaHouse. The setting is a music classroom (dominated by a portrait of the famous composer). The players take turns trying to put the various objects beyond the gate according to the cards they draw.

Beethoven Strikes Back

It seems easy, but it isn't. Because if you touch the gate or if you don't finish in time, Beethoven's portrait will come to life and shake the whole stage sending everything crumbling down! Especially when the various items are piled, Jenga-style on the same square of the board it really takes some skill (not to mention cool) to not be spooked by the angry composer with the crazy eyes and hair. Even if it isn't the best way to develop a love for classical music, Beethoven Strikes Back promises lots of fun in a purely Japanese way!
