Kitowa Porcelain Incense Burner

Designer incense base

Nippon Kodo is Japan's top incense maker: it boasts a history going back to the Muromachi period in the late 16th century, when samurai warlords were still fighting for dominance. Kitowa is Nippon Kodo's group brand that combines incense with fragrance to create amazing new products that explore new dimensions in Japan's aroma appreciation culture. And because such exquisite products need exquisite accessories, Kitowa has turned to the craftspeople of Saga Prefecture for a unique incense burner: the Kitowa Porcelain Incense Burner!

Made in the Hizen Yoshida area of Ureshino, the Kitowa Porcelain Incense Burner is made from Arita-yaki porcelain, one of the most characteristic pottery styles in Japan. It is available in two colors, black and white, and is 65 x 78 x 78 mm (2.6 x 3 x 3"). You can use it with or without the lid. The burner comes with 40 g (1.4 oz) of incense ash, which you can use as a stand for your incense regardless of form: it works perfectly with sticks, cones, neriko (kneaded incense), or inko (pressed incense). A unique ornament that enriches your incense experiences!
