Sumo Blanket

Sumo, Japan's national sport (at least according to tradition: baseball also fits this description!), is rich in symbols, and fans know them all: the referee fan that is a samurai war fan, the white thick tsuna rope belt worn by the yokozuna grand champion, the sign with the characters "o-iri" (meaning a wish for a full stadium on the days of the tournament) are all examples of the visuals that make up the world of sumo wrestling. Part of the official merchandise lineup of the Nihon Sumo Kyokai, the association overseeing and governing the sport, the Sumo Blanket is made of very soft polyester fabric that you won't be able to keep your hands off. It's about 650 x 900 mm (2.1 x 3 ft), so will work finely as a second blanket on your bed or just for warming your lower body as you sit and watch the winter sumo tournaments on TV or online.
