Tomica Slider Parking 50

People often forget that Japan has a car culture as strong as that of the United States. But spend even ten minutes in a Japanese toy store and you'll immediately realize that even in the age of video games, cars are still going strong. And by "cars," we mean the die-cast miniature toy cars that the world learned from Matchbox. The Japanese version, Takara Tomy's Tomica, have been around as long as Matchbox (early 1970s) and still inspire amazing play sets like the Tomica Slider Parking 50!

Able to accommodate 50 Tomica cars, the Tomica Slider Parking 50 is at the same time a toy and a storage facility – much like a real parking lot. As often happens with parking lots in major cities in Japan, it's multistory (it has five floors) and features a mechanism that allows the eight cars parked on each floor to be released on a four-lane ramp. On its left side, it also features a spiral-shaped ramp that can accommodate another 10 cars. If you already have other Tomica sets, you can connect the Slider Parking 50 to them. It even comes with a red Honda Civic Type R that you can add to your Tomica collection!
