Styracosaurus Plush Toy

Dinosaur stuffed doll

Like the Triceratops with which it shares some characteristics (not least, the horn-like protrusions on its head and neck), the Styracosaurus was also a herbivore and lived around the same period, the Late Cretaceous of about 60-70 million years ago. Not that you would believe that from its majestic frill and nose horn that could grow as long as 60 cm (2 ft), and look like they could have done some serious damage. And so it's amazing that the Styracosaurus Plush Toy manages to seem so cute!

Another entry in Colorata's stuffed dinosaur toy series, the Styracosaurus Plush Toy is very accurate in terms of paleontology: the characteristics of the prehistoric beast have been reproduced very closely to the scientific facts. Even though it's made of soft-to-the-touch polyester, the toy looks like the real thing, albeit only 15 x 23 x 24 cm (5.9 x 9 x 9.4") as opposed to the 5–5.5 m (16–18 ft) long and about 1.8 m (5.9 ft) tall that the actual Styracosaurus was. And the seated pose makes the toy seem even more friendly, so no child can resist playing with this dino.
