Beyblade Hello Kitty

Sanrio character spinning top toy

US$ 33

Takara Tomy's Beyblade series just got a whole new dose of fun with the Beyblade Hello Kitty. It's around for over 20 years (they were introduced back in 1999) and are based on an even older idea that's been around for around 1,000 years. This is where the "bey" part in their name comes from. The original toy was called beigoma and like the Beyblades, they were spinning tops you could use in a game of either duration (whose top will continue spinning longer) or power (whose top will knock out the others).

This is exactly what you can do with the Beyblade Hello Kitty. The difference is that you can now do it using a top that combines a ferocious-looking frame with a cute center, featuring Japan's favorite cat, Hello Kitty! If you're a Beyblade player, you already have the launcher needed to use the top (it is not included here) and you'll know that you vary how you launch it (clockwise or counterclockwise) to harness either the attacking metallic part or absorbent rubber part. Become the next king of the Beyblade arena with this amazing character-themed spinning top!
