To the uninitiated, sumo wrestling sometimes looks it's just about slapping the other guy in the face or pushing him out of the ring, but fans of Japan's national sport know there are 82 specific techniques defined by Nihon Sumo Kyokai Japan sumo association, involving throws, leg trips, hand and arm twists, pull downs, and more. These are called the kimarite, or winning techniques, and each has its own name. Coming from the official souvenir lineup of the Nihon Sumo Kyokai, the Sumo Kimarite Boxer Briefs contains the names of several dozen kimarite techniques written in the special font used for sumo-related signs (actually called sumo-moji or "sumo letters"), set against a blue background with white wavy patters that hint at a yokozuna champion's rope belt. It comes in two sizes, and thanks to its stretchy fabric and smooth texture, it fits your body like a glove!
