Rubik's Cube Double Form

Special version of popular puzzle cube

You would expect that after it becoming an icon of the 1980s and having being solved by millions of people, it would be time for the Rubik's Cube to retire and let other puzzles be the center of attention. But during the 2000s, circumstances were ripe for a comeback and after the original patent expired, imitation cubes started appearing (especially from China) and the original company had to do something new and exciting to stay relevant. And it did certainly succeeded, creating several new versions, including the Rubik's Cube Double Form!

Looking like a Rubik's Cube designed by Picasso, the Rubik's Cube Double Form still comes in the standard 57 x 57 x 57 mm (2.2 x 2.2. x 2.2") size and 3 x 3 pattern of tiles, but here's where things get real: instead of all nine tiles being the same size, only the middle three are the standard size, while the top three are half the standard size and the bottom three are double the standard size. Yes, it is hard and yes, you end up with some very weird shapes trying to solve it, but let's be honest: would you have it any other way?!
