Miniature Othello Collection

It started in Britain back in the 19th century as Reversi and this is how it is still mostly known in the West, but in Japan, the board strategy game with the reversible round tiles got a second life and a second name, Othello, and has remained a firm favorite among traditional gamers through its various incarnations both in the real and digital world. It was first introduced to Japan 50 years ago and the Miniature Othello Collection celebrates that incredible milestone – and in a very Japanese way!

Whereas in other cultures, a 50-year anniversary would be greeted with something big, the Japanese went the other way: with something very, very small! The Miniature Othello Collection contains four versions of Othello: the original, a travel version with magnetic tiles, a four-player one with cube-like tiles, and a 3D one with a pyramid in the middle. All versions have a 50 x 50 mm (2 x 2") board. You may need a pair of tweezers to pick up the miniature tiles, giving the game a whole new level of fun!
