Ori Tissue Case

Designer tissue paper box cover

Even those who haven't dived deep into Japanese aesthetics know that its traditional culture has a tendency towards the minimal. Although this isn't 100% correct, it is certainly true for some of its aspects and can be seen even today in the kimono, tea ceremony, and many schools of pottery, among others. One of the characteristics of this approach is the Japanese appreciate of materials and textures. There is perhaps no better example of this on an everyday level than the Ori Tissue Case!

Coming from a small factory in Ayase, Kanagawa, specializing in precision metalwork using machinery with the same passion that traditional craftspeople give to handicrafts, the Ori Tissue Case is a study in how beautiful metal can be just by itself without any ornaments, engraving, or etching. A plain 240 x 120 x 70 mm (9.4 x 4.7 x 2.8") stainless steel, brass, or copper case to house any standard box of tissues or paper napkins. That's it. But it showcases Japanese minimalism and craftsmanship at its best, giving your space a unique stylistic touch.
