Bonsho Temple Bell Paper Roll Dispenser

One of Japan's main tourist attractions are its numerous Buddhist temples. Even its mega-cities like Tokyo and Osaka are full of them, built in dozens of different architectural styles spanning a history of 14 centuries. Regardless of the sect, style, or age, there is one thing you will find in virtually all Buddhist temples and that is the bonsho bell or tsurigane (hanging bell). These are big bronze bells with diameters varying from one to ten feet used to summon monks to pray or meditation and strike the hours. It is made of synthetic leather and polyester and if you open the two-way zipper, you can put in a roll of tissues (or even toilet paper, provided you take out the core) and pull out a sheet whenever you need one from the opening in the bottom!
