A design doesn't always need to be spectacularly groundbreaking to be good: sometimes a simple idea implemented in an unadorned way stands out in its own way by allowing the function of the object to come out, with just a hint of sophistication hidden inside the simplicity. The Japanese are especially good at this type of design and the Tabletop Cloud Clock is a case in point, giving your desk or nightstand a real touch of character!

Using the most basic shape of a cloud that a kindergarten child would draw, the Tabletop Cloud Clock is both serious and playful, subtle yet sharp. Available in white or gray, the clock measures 164 x 103 x 43 mm (6.5 x 4 x 1.7") and is powered either from any USB source or three AAA batteries (not included). It displays the time in 12- or 24-hour formats, plus the date and temperature, and also boasts an alarm function and a power-saving mode that will allow it to display for up to nine months!
