Zaoh Block Robot

Metal assembly toy and ornament

Despite how easy they make our life, our electronic devices have brought about a major conceptual change: they are dematerializing our lives, making them less and less related to the material world. And while this might not be a problem for full-grown adults, it can be detrimental to the development of children who need the stimuli they get through their hands. And while keeping kids completely away from electronic devices is both impractical and wrong in its own way, you could counterbalance their screen time with a healthy dose of reality by getting them to try making the Zaoh Block Robot!

The Zaoh Block Robot is a kit of 42 aluminum pieces that were previously scrap metal, and have been processed and treated in a way so they can connect together (using the nuts and bolts also included in the kit) into a robot figure. The only tool needed to assemble the robot figure is a hex key that also comes with it, so your children will have the opportunity to not only work with their hands but also use a rather unusual tool. The reward is a 113 x 27 x 198 mm (4.4 x 1 x 7.8") fully articulated robot figure in the end!
