Watermelon Kimono

There are few images that bring to mind the traditional Japanese summer more than a person wearing a yukata (a light summer cotton kimono), eating a slice of juicy watermelon: even today, if you go to any summer event anywhere in Japan like a Bon Odori community dance, a firework display, or a matsuri festival, you will see hundreds or even thousands of people of all ages eating watermelon in their yukata and enjoying the evening breeze. The Watermelon Kimono brings these two essential summer elements together with a playfulness that is also very characteristically Japanese!

You can get the Watermelon Kimono in four sizes for men and four for women. The cotton fabric is beautifully made and cool enough to see you through even the hottest day of Japan’s summer. The kimono features a green watermelon skin with black stripes pattern and comes with an obi sash that looks like the actual watermelon slice: the green rind together with the two-tone red flesh and even the black seeds. It's so realistic, you'll want to have a bite!
