Remote monitoring wristband for seniors
Monitor the activities of a loved one even when they are far away with the Toshiba Slimee W21 Activity Tracker Smartband. Developed as part of a long-term project on dementia with Oita University, the wristbands are designed for seniors, although anyone can use them. The band includes GPS tracking, as well as sensors for acceleration, heart rate, heat, and ultraviolet.
The Bluetooth connectivity means the wristband can connect to iOS and Android devices, so you keep track of someone remotely, such as whether they have been in the sun too long or if their heart rate seems unusual. The device can also send out an emergency email alert if the wearer presses the emergency button.
