Timbre Key Holder Wakka

Wooden designer key ring and docking base

Sometimes, it's the small things that give us the greatest joy. Or, even better, it's the small joys we get from the small things that add up to make our life more joyful. At least this is what award-winning Tokyo designer Mikiya Kobayashi believes, if his Timbre Key Holder Wakka is any indication. Paying all the attention of a master Japanese designer (i.e., an obscene amount of it!) to the shapes, material, and sound it makes when you take your key off, Kobayashi-sensei has turned a habitual movement we don't notice into a ritual that can enrich our everyday life!

The Timbre Key Holder Wakka is made of two parts: a wooden half-ball-shaped docking base made of either maple or walnut and a key ring made of iron and plated in chrome, gold, or pink gold. This means that you get six possible combinations to better suit your taste and the colors of your home. The ring is lined with ABS resin so when you push it on the docking base, it stays there and when you take it off, it makes a small, characteristic, and very satisfying sound, which, combined with the item's appearance, will make you pause long enough to smile and leave your home with a positive attitude!
