Thanko Train Seat Heater

Ask any tired office worker in Japan and they will all say the same thing: there are few things as rewarding as finding a seat in the train during the rush hour in the winter and dozing on it while staying warm and toasty from the heater underneath! Yes, Japanese trains have heaters (they also have air conditioning in the summer) and it's amazing how just keeping your lower body warm helps drive fatigue away. This was the inspiration for the Thanko Train Seat Heater, which brings that wonderful sensation into your home (or office)!

Available in gray and red, the Thanko Train Seat Heater is made of a 47 x 54 x 10 cm (18.5 x 21.3 x 3.9") seat and a 44 x 33 cm (17.3 x 13") flap for the legs. "Flap" might be a little deceptive, though, because it is actually quite sturdy and adjusts to any position your legs are in. As for the warming part, it works with any USB source (5 V, 2 A and over) to bring your hips and legs three levels of warmth (46°C/114.8°F, 44°C/111.2°F, or 42°C/107.6°F) and with an one-hour auto-off timer – in case you fall asleep like the Japanese on the train!
