Even if you don't love spicy food, you probably add some black pepper to your food when you're cooking, so you know how important it is to have the spices ground as fresh as possible: ideally, you need to grind just the right amount right before you add it to the pot or the plate. And while you can do that with regular spice mills, the rest of the spice stays in the mill and eventually gets stale. There is now a way to prevent that from happening, though, and it's called the Suwada Spice Shake Mill!
The Suwada Spice Shake Mill is very small (just 27 x 65 x 27 mm or 1 x 2.6 x 1") because it's been made for only a few grains of spice: its maker recommends a quantity of about 4–5 grains of black pepper, which it turns into a powder using its unique smashing mechanism. It doesn't require batteries either: you literally shake it a few times up and down and your spice becomes powder, ready to use in the kitchen or dining room. And if you need more, add a few more grains and repeat the process.
