It isn't just Yama, the gangster who looks like a sumo wrestler in the Disney animated superhero film Big Hero 6: even Baymax, the inflatable robot that becomes the friend and assistant of the protagonist, Hiro Hamada, also has something of Japan's legendary enormous wrestlers. And this explains why the Nihon Sumo Kyokai (Japan Sumo Association), the organization that handles sumo in Japan, decided to add a few Big Hero 6 items to its official merchandise line, including the Sumo Big Hero 6 Big Body Pillow!
About 36 x 30 x 60 cm (14.2 x 11.8 x 23.6"), the Sumo Big Hero 6 Big Body Pillow is made to look like a Baymax and a sumo doll: it's white and has Baymax's face but also sports a sumo wrestlers hairdo, complete with the chonmage topknot and red mawashi belt like the ones sumo wrestlers wear when they go into the ring to fight. Made of 100% polyester, it's soft and cuddly – and perfect for hugging and napping!
