Recolte Slide Rack Toaster

Easy to load and unload mini oven

Japanese homes rarely have big ovens. Because of lack of space, because Japanese people cook small portions, and because their cuisine rarely asks for anything beyond grilling a fish. But that doesn't mean that there aren't times they don't need a small one to prepare toast or for reheating baked goods. The toaster oven is perfect for this job but usually is very elementary in its functions. The Recolte Slide Rack Toaster is a proof that there are exceptions!

In a design that brings to mind kitchen appliances from the 1960s, the Recolte Slide Rack Toaster is actually a smart oven with a customized microcomputer that handles the temperature for five of its seven modes (Toast, Frozen Toast, Deli, and Rebake). The other two are preset at 180°C (356°F) and 220°C (428°F). You can set the timer for up to 15 minutes. If that sounds like a lot of flexibility, it is: you can bake or warm up anything from a single slice of toast to whole pizzas, frittatas, and gratins! And when they're ready, you can take the rack out to put your creation more easily on your plate!
