Raji Konchu RC Caterpillar Bug

Radio control insect toy

The Japanese are mad about bugs. From beetle battle video games (and real-life tournaments!) to Osamu Tezuka's Mushi Productions, Kamen Rider, and Heracross in Pokémon, Japan's popular culture is crawling with them. The imomushi (caterpillar) is a humble but vibrant creature, and this toy pays tribute to this oft-overlooked member of the insect world. The Raji Konchu RC Caterpillar Bug from JTT is another fun radio control toy that will amaze and amuse in equal measure.

Raji Konchu RC Caterpillar Bug

While we can't recommend this toy if you have a genuine fear of creepy crawlies, it will certainly make for a surprising addition to the dinner table if you fancy creating some mischief with relatives and guests. Place these on a shoulder or a tree branch - and you can be sure of getting a reaction.

The movements are pretty realistic too! For the best results, turn the bug onto "automatic" mode and watch it crawl around by itself. Get your caterpillar in one of three colors: green (for a yellowtail butterfly), yellow (hawk moth), or brown (cabbage moth).
