What the designers of the Proidea Sonaeno Cushion-Type Sleeping Bag basically did was change the way this 2 x 1.6 m (6.6 x 5.2 ft) sleeping bag folds: instead of rolling it and trying to fit it into a cylindrical bag like every other sleeping bag on the market, you fold it into a square and store it inside itself to become a 45 x 45 cm (17.7 x 17.7") throw pillow that can stay on your couch. And when the need arises, you unfold it and sleep comfortably (and warmly) inside. No wonder that this clever idea earned it two of Japan's most prestigious design awards!
