Despite the meaning it has taken in the West the last few years, which thinks of the ninja as a martial arts superhero, the Japanese sense of the word is more like someone who can move stealthily and without leaving a trace. So when designer Shuji Miyamoto decided to call his creation the Ninja Pin, he was actually referring to this groundbreaking thumbtack's ability to go in and out of your wall while leaving only the most minimum mark behind.
The trick is in the shape of the pin part: instead of the standard round shape that we have known since the invention of the thumbtack back in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the Ninja Pin is shaped like a V. This allows the tip to be much more acute than that of a regular pin and to create a much smaller hole when you pull it out – especially on walls that have wallpaper, you won't even be able to find the hole! Available in three colors (clear, white, and black), each pack contains 15 pins.
