Mini Edo Puppy Marshmallows

Nagasawa Rosetsu painting-themed decorative sweets

It wouldn't exactly be what you would call the work of a classical master but the little dog with the goofy expression and the weird posture featured on the Mini Edo Puppy Marshmallows is indeed part of a famous 18th-century artwork, painted on a folding screen by Edo-period artist Nagasawa Rosetsu. The box also features a card with Nagasawa's work to prove it, so you know this isn't just a pack of unusual but cute sweets!

Even without the added value of being a reproduction of an old work of art, though, the Mini Edo Puppy Marshmallows are simply delightful: soft and squishy and filled with a delicious paste called chocoan (a combination of anko sweet red bean jam and chocolate), they transform even a scoop of plain vanilla ice cream. And if you are looking for something that makes your sweets or hot beverages truly Instagrammable, just add a couple of those marshmallows and watch your posts go viral!
