When it opened in 1990, the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan was the biggest in the world. Such records don't last long but it's still the most visited aquarium in Japan and one of its star attractions is Yuki-chan, a one-meter (3.2 ft) long, 50 kg (110 lbs) ringed seal. Yuki-chan became a social media celebrity because when she pulls her head close to her body, she becomes an almost perfect ball – a sight that's both funny and cute. Just like the Manju Puffy Yuki-chan Seal Pillow, which is a true-to-life 3D version of her!
The difference is that the Manju Puffy Yuki-chan Seal Pillow is smaller than the real Yuki-chan: at around 60 x 30 x 28 cm (23.6 x 11.8 x 11"), its size is about 60% of the Osaka seal but when it comes to its appearance, everything has been reproduced in full detail, including one particular pattern that looks like a heart and is always popular with the aquarium's visitors. The pillow is made of a polyester and polyurethane blend, and unlike the real seal, doesn't like water so you can't wash it!
