Lego Architecture Himeji Castle

World Heritage site building set

If you're a fan of the samurai and their history, Japan can keep you happy with over 100 extant or partially extant castles from the days of its legendary warriors. Among them, a full dozen exist in their original state and these should be enough for a full one-month trip. But if you can only squeeze one into your itinerary, it should definitely be Himeji, aka the White Heron Castle, about 48 km (20 miles) from Kobe. And if you can't even visit that, you can at least now recreate it on your coffee table with the Lego Architecture Himeji Castle!

The Lego Architecture Himeji Castle is a detailed model of the World Heritage Site that has involved some of Japan history's major figures over its seven centuries of existence, including the country's second great unifier, Toyotomi Hideyoshi. When finished, it measures 19 x 32 x 27 cm (7.5 x 8.3 x 10.6") and comes with a base, making it an excellent permanent decoration ornament. If you worry about how you will get all its 2,125 pieces in order, it comes with an illustrated instructions guide and is compatible with the Lego Builder app!
