Katsushika Hokusai Views of Mount Fuji Jigsaw Puzzle

Famous woodblock prints puzzle

Out of the roughly 30,000 paintings, sketches, and illustrations that Katsushika Hokusai created during the 70-plus years he was active (he kept painting almost until he died at 88), the series depicting views of Mount Fuji he made between 1830 and 1832, when he was in his seventies, is hands down the most famous – and the most popular. A virtual journey through all the provinces that surround Japan's iconic mountain, these images remain as magnificent today as they were two hundred years ago, so having them all together as they appear in the Katsushika Hokusai Views of Mount Fuji Jigsaw Puzzle is essentially like taking a crash course in the history of Japanese art!

The Katsushika Hokusai Views of Mount Fuji Jigsaw Puzzle manages to squeeze into its 72 x 49 cm (28.3 x 19.3") dimensions not only the 36 main paintings of the series but also the additional 10 that the master created afterwards. As you'd expect, the Great Wave off Kanagawa and the Fine Wind, Clear Morning (or as it is better known, Red Fuji) are featured most prominently, as is a red frame with the name of Katsushika Hokusai in white. It will take a few hours to put together the 1,000 pieces that make up this spectacular puzzle but the results will definitely be worth the effort!
