Forget what you think a stool should look like. The Kagome Stool was a winner at the 2013 A' Design Award & Competition in Italy and turns 2D lines in 3D. Manufactured at a wire works, the steel wire is bent into 18 angle triangles, which are then combined and shaped into a traditional Japanese pattern. Finally, the wires are welded to create a sturdy, beautiful seat.
Part stool, part sculpture, the Kagome has both a domestic designer furniture feel to it and a sense of industrial ergonomics, in which modern, pop colors are offset by strong yet refined materials. It can be used equally indoors or out, and comes in three versions (red, white or black).
The Kagome Stool features:
- Color: white, red, black
- Size: 490 x 450 x 400mm (19.3 x 17.7 x 15.7")
- Weight: 4kg (8.8 lb)
