Expo 2025 Mizuno -20 Umbrella

Like all major events, the Osaka Kansai 2025 world fair involves long lines and hours of waiting. And like everything that happens in the summer in Japan, that waiting entails standing in the sun and humid heat (and occasional summer downpour), sweating profusely. Which means you need some good protection, preferably in tune with your surroundings. The organizers of the expo thought about that and collaborated with major sports equipment manufacturer Mizuno to create the right umbrella for the occasion: the Expo 2025 Mizuno -20 Umbrella!

Folding so it can be carried in your bag (always a good idea in Japan because you never know when rain will strike) and only approx. 21 cm (8.3") big when it is folded, the Expo 2025 Mizuno -20 Umbrella has 50 cm (19.7") ribs and a double-fabric structure that offers higher heat insulation. The inside fabric is decorated with patterns inspired by the expo mascot Myaku-Myaku and the outside is white with Myaku-Myaku's head and the expo logo. With a UV cut of 99% and heat reduction of -20°C, this is a great summer parasol – and a very effective umbrella!
