The elderly are one of the biggest chunks of Japan's market, because they are one of the biggest chunks of Japanese society. The Japanese use all their ingenuity to make the lives of senior citizens better, safer, and more comfortable, and the Duet Walker MG Umbrella-Cane Long is one such product addressing one of the greatest fears of the elderly: falling down when walking. Especially in a country where it rains often, the possibility of slipping, falling, and having a nasty fracture is even higher, so the Duet Walker can literally be a lifesaver!
The Duet Walker MG Umbrella-Cane Long is a simple but brilliant idea: it's made of two pieces, a very good glass fiber and aluminum umbrella with an 100 cm (3.3 ft) canopy made of 100% polyester, and a sturdy glass fiber walking cane that fits inside the umbrella's central rod and is secured with a magnet. When rolled up, the umbrella itself can be used as a stick (it has a nonslip ferrule on the end) and if it starts to rain, you can just pull the cane out and continue using them as two separate accessories. Easy, practical, and available in two colors (gray and navy).
