It has been half a century since Popy, a subsidiary of Japanese toy giant Bandai, created the robot toy series called Chogokin and in one fell swoop changed the face of toy-making, especially when it comes to figures from manga and anime. What made the series different was that the figures are made from die-cast metal, so the robots look more realistic. The series continues until today and each new line is considered a collectors' item, and there's no doubt the Chogokin Tamagotchi Robo will also become one: it's the most extraordinary Chogokin ever produced.
Just by looking at its name, you can probably tell what makes the Chogokin Tamagotchi Robo so unique: to celebrate the Chogokin's 50 years, Bandai paired it with another of its bestsellers, the digital pet Tamagotchi. The metallic robot is the body and the Tamagotchi is the brain! About 100 mm (3.4") in height and with movable joint mechanisms at the shoulders, elbows, and claws, it hosts an original Tamagotchi with a special gold-bronze color scheme and can also transform into a UFO, which Tamagothci fans will recognize from the digital pet's packaging decades ago!
