Sometimes it seems like a big part of the creativity of Japanese designers is spent mitigating some of the problems brought to us by modern technology. The Cheero NeckCharge is one such example: more devices mean more need for a power source, and while power banks are available, carrying them around is awkward and impractical. So why not make one wearable, asked Osaka-based Cheero's R&D team, and the answer frees up your hands, figuratively and literally!
The Cheero NeckCharge is 185 x 195 x 26 mm (7.3 x 7.7 x 1") and is made of a rubber material that allows you to bend it open and put it around your neck very easily. From there on, you can use its two outputs (regular USB-C and USB-C PPS) to power your smartphone, VR headset, smart glasses, tablet, game console, or any other device without having to carry an extra object in your hands. And being IP43 water- and dust-proof, it is also safe to use under different conditions!
