Balmuda The Brew Coffee Mill

Vintage design coffee-making accessory

US$ 160

It started in 2003 with a laptop stand called Floater but it was its 2015 toaster oven simply called The Toaster that made the Balmuda brand really take off. Since then, the Tokyo-based company has been going from strength to strength, thanks to a perfect balance of design and functionality that brings to mind traditional Japanese craftsmanship going back centuries. The Balmuda The Brew Coffee Mill is one of its latest offerings and made to complement its popular The Brew coffee maker (also available at Japan Trend Shop).

In a jet-black finish and with an old-school handle that brings to mind coffee mills from the early 20th century, the 162 x 54 x 182 mm (6.3 x 2.1 x 7.1") Balmuda The Brew Coffee Mill is a beauty to look at. You could almost put it on a shelf and keep simply as a decorative ornament for your home! But Balmuda isn't just about looks: the mill's stainless steel blades have a 22-step grinding capability, which means that you can grind 20 g (0.7 oz) of beans to be as fine or coarse as you want. And as every coffee aficionado knows, this is the first step to brewing a really good cup of coffee!
