Meri Tove T110 Indoor Flip-Flops

Modern version of traditional Japanese zori sandals

Even the very name flip-flops suggests that the Western version of the traditional Japanese split-toe sandals, zori (or geta if they are made of wood), is a more inferior imitation. But that is not necessarily true! Take the Tokyo workshop Merikoti and its Meri Tove T110 Indoor Flip-Flops: just by looking at them, you can immediately tell that these aren't your run-of-the-mill disposable rubber flip-flops but a piece (well, two) of true craftsmanship that will stay with you for years!

Handmade using a technique of interlacing thick knitting yarn (50% cotton, 50% polyester) and with a wide, adjustable strap, the Meri Tove T110 Indoor Flip-Flops are as stylish as they are comfortable and good for your feet: their uneven surface has a effect similar to that of walking on sand, stimulating the nerve endings in the soles of your feet. You can get them in three sizes (M, L, and LL) and they are washable (though ideally by hand).
