Zojirushi CK-KA10 Electric Kettle

Anyone can improve a complicated device but it takes real ingenuity to improve something as simple as an electric kettle, but Zojirushi proves it's possible with the CK-KA10 Electric Kettle. Drawing from half a century's experience of manufacturing electric products, the Osaka-based company has added a few things that we always wanted from a kettle, starting from the ability to keep the temperature inside almost at boiling level (actually at around 90°C/194°F) for about an hour. So if you want a second cup of coffee or tea within this time, you don't need to boil the water again!

But if you want to, though, you won't need to wait for long because another thing the Zojirushi CK-KA10 Electric Kettle excels at is speed: it boils a regular cup (140 ml / 4.7 fl oz) in about one minute and has capacity for five cups. And of course, there are all kinds of small improvements too, including a chlorine-removal mechanism, a wide mouth that allows you to fill it easily, a steam-blocking mechanism so you can even use it under a low shelf, compact size (25 x 16 x 23.5 cm / 9.8 x 6.3 x 9.3" including the power plate), and two color options (black and white).
