Trains and robots, OK: everyone knows the Japanese love robots and everyone who has been to Japan finds out they love trains even more, especially high-speed trains known in Japan as the Shinkansen and around the world as bullet trains. But what about cheese? Dairy products are not part of the Japanese diet, so why did Bandai, one Japan's top toy makers, decide to include it in the name of the Unitroborn Unitrobohigh-speedtraincheese, one of its latest creations and winner, with the rest of the Unitroborn series, of the 2022 Excellence Award at the Japan Toy Awards in the Action Toy category?
The reason is the concept behind the Unitroborn series, which is that all models must be able to transform in three different things: a robot, a vehicle, and an everyday item that could be anything, so why not a piece of yellow cheese? The Unitroborn Unitrobohigh-speedtraincheese can transform into all of these, although everyone will agree that its most impressive incarnation is as a robot-pterodactyl combo with a wingspan of approximately 25 cm (9.8"). Unlike other models in the series, the toy comprises two pieces and yes, one of which is cheese!
