The demand from computer graphic designers for better and more realistic images has been one of the driving forces of the computer industry. At the same time, old school 8-bit graphics with big square pixels have made a comeback, appealing to both Gen-Xers (who grew up with them in arcade games) and their children (who find them delightfully primitive). The Super Deluxe Kirby Pixel Light is a tribute to those graphics – and also a cute tabletop lamp that looks equally as good in a children's room as on a gamer's desk!
A cutout of Kirby, the main character from the eponymous Nintendo series that started way back in 1992, the Super Deluxe Kirby Pixel Light is 200 x 50 x 190 mm (7.9 x 2 x 7.5") and presents the cute pink round character exactly as he appears in the games, 8-bit pixels and all. The lamp is powered by any USB source (it comes with an 1.5 m/4.9 ft Type-A to Type-C cable for that) and on its back has a slider for adjusting the brightness. And being made of ABS, PC rubber, silicone, and PVC, it is virtually indestructible!
