Mini Kagami-Biraki Sake Cask Longevity and Good Luck

Traditional celebration party drinking set

The Japanese love celebrations as much as anyone – and perhaps even more, judging from the abundance of festivals all over the country. And when there's a celebration, there is also sake. Ad if the celebration is a big one, the sake comes in a taru cask that is cracked open with a wooden mallet. This ritual is called kagami-biraki. With the Mini Kagami-Biraki Sake Cask Longevity and Good Luck, you can recreate it at home when you are having a party or any joyous occasion of your own!

The Mini Kagami-Biraki Sake Cask Longevity and Good Luck contains a 17.5 x 18 cm (6.9 x 7") taru cask with a magnetic lid that you can smash open and then put the two pieces back together for the next time you use it, plus a bucket that you can fill with sake or anything else (even treats for a children's party), the mallet to break it open, a wooden dipper to serve, and two wooden masu sake cups to serve the drink. And on its front, the cask is printed with a stylized pattern of a turtle shell that is a Japanese symbol of longevity and good fortune!
