In Japan, most children get to wear their first kimono when they are three or five and their parents take them to a local Shinto shrine for their Shichi-Go-San (7-5-3) ceremony. What makes the Meri T011 Children's Indoor Flip-Flops different from the usual zori sandals is that they are made using knitting yarn: the whole sole is made up of a special 50% cotton, 50% polyester yarn that is as sturdy as it is beautiful. It isn't just about appearances and style, though: the uneven surface of the zori's sole massages your children's feet as they walk and helps improve their balance and posture!
