Kiyo Jochugiku Premium Yugao Mosquito Coils

Traditional Japanese insect repellent

Sometimes Japan can be extremely analog. Especially when it comes to things that have a tradition or long history behind them, the Japanese are willing to forget their love for the high-tech and do things the same way their parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents did. They don't need to be very important things either: even for simple things like dealing with mosquitoes in the summer, the Japanese would rather go the way of the pyrethrin coil. Like the Kiyo Jochugiku Premium Yugao Mosquito Coils.

Japan was where the insect repellent coil was invented and Kiyo Jochugiku has been making them since 1910. The Kiyo Jochugiku Premium Yugao Mosquito Coils have been around since 1935 and are one of the most popular in the country. The reason? They are all natural, made of ingredients like bay tree powder, corn starch, mandarin peel and, of course, pyrethrum powder that contains 0.64% pyrethrin. Each of the 30 coils in the box gives you about seven mosquito-free hours, enough for a restful sleep even at the height of summer!
