Stereotypes aside, forks, knives and spoons are now used in Japan almost as much as they are in the West. And to prove it, Di Classe Design Studio brings you this original and playful lighting accessory that will find its place in any Western kitchen or dining room, too. It's the Gita Spoon and Fork Lamp , which uses, as the name says, wooden spoons and forks for the lamp shade!
For the Gita Spoon and Fork Lamp, Di Classe has chosen Japanese white birch with a natural finish and texture to give the lighting an organic feel. The juxtaposition of the wood with the frame's stainless steel makes the design seem contemporary, while reminding you why Japan has never left the top spot when it comes to household design. The lamp's best feature, though, is the shadow play of the forks and spoons on the ceiling and surrounding walls, helping you, your family and dinner guests to get in the right mood before sitting down as the table!
