As the results of global heating are felt more and more around the world, what started as a tool for Japanese construction and factory workers – fan-equipped clothing – is becoming more widespread even among regular people who are seeking a way to deal with the heat. The fan-equipped Thanko Reizofuku 3 Cooling Vest is one such garment but contrary to most available on the Japanese market, it doesn't only rely on fans but also utilizes a Peltier (thermoelectric cooler) plate that promises an even more impressive cooling effect!
Available in three colors (navy, silver gray, and white) and three sizes (free size, 3L, and 5L) that fit chest measurements of up to 138 cm (54.3"), the Thanko Reizofuku 3 Cooling Vest offers a choice of using either the fans alone, the fans together with the Peltier plate, or the Peltier plate alone. If conditions are really hot and you opt for the latter, it can go as much as 19°C lower than the environment, which means that even if the temperature around you is 45°C (113°F), inside the vest will be 26°C (78.8°F)! The only thing you need is a USB mobile battery (5V 2A and over – one is available to add as an optional extra) and then it's time to say sayonara to heat!
