Sleeping Panda Umbrella Ornament

Humorous animal-themed umbrella accessory

It's been half a century since Japan got its first pandas from China and from the moment they set their giant paws down in Ueno, home of Tokyo's (and the country's) oldest zoo, the black and white bears became everyone's favorite animal and a symbol of the area, visible on everything from tourist brochures to baked goods and even latte art. Nonetheless, the Sleeping Panda Umbrella Handle Ornament must be one of the most original incarnations of a panda available on the Japanese market: a small panda that uses the handle of your umbrella to sleep!

To ensure it fits snugly on as many umbrella handles as possible, the Sleeping Panda Umbrella Handle Ornament is made of thermoplastic elastomer and measures about 3 x 8.5 x 4.5 cm (1.2 x 3.3 x 1.8"). This means it works best with umbrellas whose handle is between 1.5 and 1.7 cm (0.6 and 0.7"), which is most umbrellas. Shaped just like a panda that is lazing on a tree trunk with its feet hanging down and its eyes closed, the ornament makes even the most basic umbrella come alive!
