This Shuin Seal Stamp Collection Book is a chic volume for keeping seal stamps received at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. Such shuin are beautiful artworks in their own right, with exquisite ink calligraphy written over the top of the stamp by monks themselves.
This shuin collecting book (known as a shuincho in Japanese) is created using silk spun from an artisan studio which has been operating since 1829. The cover is made from yuki-tsumugi silk (designated a UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity) while the pages are traditional washi (Japanese paper). There are four colors, each with its own cover design: brown, green, striped, or gray.
