So much so, in fact, that you can even get edible shogi pieces in Japan! The Shogi Japanese Chess Piece Candy is a bag of unique sweets in the iconic wedge-like shape of koma (shogi pieces). This is a pack of three bags, each containing multiple shogi candies. There are eight types of candies, based on different standard shogi pieces in the real game. The design and creation of the expertly made candies were supervised by the famous professional shogi player Hifumi Kato and approved by the Japan Shogi Association.
