MINIM+AID Disaster Preparedness Kit by nendo
All-inclusive, easy-to-carry emergency evacuation supplies set
A disaster kit is something you need, especially if you live in Japan, but nobody said it has to be boring! Sugita Ace, a company that makes metallic components used in construction but has also expanded into some serious design attempts in fields like furniture and home utility items. It has teamed up with top design studio nendo for the amazing MINIM+AID Disaster Preparedness Kit, an ingenious solution for those times that you hope won't happen but that, especially if you live in Japan, know they will.
The MINIM+AID Disaster Preparedness Kit is a cylindrical container containing four items, all of which are also cylindrical to ensure they fit nicely into it. One is a lantern, the other a carrying case for small objects (like glasses, a knife, or money), the third a hand-powered radio that can also work as a small power generator to charge your phone (or the lantern!), and the fourth contains a reflective/thermal poncho that can also be used as a water bottle. Boasting superbly ergonomic design and available in three colors, this is a must-have for anyone who wants to be ready when there's an emergency.
