Kawaii Company Monster Costume

Disguise for teleconference and social media by Sebastian Masuda

The Covid-19 pandemic might be over but Zoom meetings don't seem to be going away anytime soon. There's even a good chance they will be with us forever, changing the way we work and interact with our colleagues. Thinking that this way of communicating puts an extra burden on his compatriots, artist, director, and mover in the world of kawaii (cute) in Tokyo's Harajuku area, Sebastian Masuda came up with an original idea to add a character to your online persona: the Kawaii Company Monster Costume!

Drawing from his childhood memories, Masuda designed a multicolored, hairy disguise that looks like a cross between a Chinese lion, a mouse, a duck, and Cousin Itt from the Addams Family. The Kawaii Company Monster Costume is named after Masuda's company. The costume is approximately 100 x 120 cm (3.3 x 3.9 ft), made from 100% polyester, and very easy to put on like a pullover. Keep it close to your computer and when the next Zoom call comes, put it on, and bring a smile to the face of your friends and colleagues!
